Julian D. Sanchez
January 9, 1953- July 21, 2007

Julian Sanchez was Halleigh's father; Mark's best friend. They met at their Catholic Elementary school, but it was not until middle school that they became best friends, this friendship withstood the test of time and when Halleigh was born, they asked Julian to be her God father or as she would later call him her Nino. In which he gladly accepted. Unknown to Mark and Scheri at the time, that this request would not be taken lightly by the then 32 year old bachelor. For the next 21 years Julian never missed a beat of young Halleighs or as he called her "Dee Dee's" life. Every birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, valentines Day, Spring Break, Easter, Forth of July and Halloween... He was there... He never missed a school play, dance recital, or even Cheer competition. Julian went above and beyond the call of  duty and became a second father to Halleigh, Dustin and Brandalon. Halleigh and Julian had a truly unique "father and daughter" relationship, he was one of her best friends, someone that she looked after and he looked after her as well. Julian never married or had any children of his own.

On July 21, 2007 while Halleigh was away for the summer he passed away suddenly with no warning. He was very important part of her life and we are all deeply saddened that he is no longer with us. We hope that all who knew him will keep him in their mind on this special day in Halleigh's life, we know that he will be with us in spirit, and in our hearts.
